The Project
A 27-kilometre four-lane, high standard road linking Forrest Highway to Bussell Highway. The project will ease congestion and provide safer, more efficient traffic routes for freight, tourists, and locals.
What it delivers
Bunbury Outer Ring Road (BORR) will deliver significant benefits to the region, including time saving, road safety, freight efficiency and improved port access. A significant portion of funding from the project’s $1.25 billion is being spent in within the region, creating further local jobs, business opportunities and supporting local economic growth.
Client
The project is being delivered by Main Roads Western Australia. Castleross Construction was subcontracted by Australian Precast Solutions Pty Ltd (APS) to supply specialised labour and construction support for the fabrication of precast beams to be used as part of the overpass structures on the project.
Key Challenges Addressed
We were able to quickly optimise the management of production in a small yard to deliver maximum output and quality while managing complicated logistics to ensure safety for all.
